I couldn't sync to a show. Can I still use the app?

Sync may be slow or not work for a number of reasons. If you have a lot of background noise or conversation occurring near your iPad, it's harder for our sync technology to determine what's on. Also, we sync with live and recently broadcast programs from the top 40 broadcast and cable channels, so if you're watching a smaller network we might not sync. We also don't generally sync during commercial breaks, so if you start Umami during a break, hang on and we'll sync when the show returns.

When sync fails, you always have the option of manually entering a show to get all the news, info, gossip and more that we have for that show.
